Delcambre High Class of ’73
41st Class Reunion Poolside Party!

 

Our homecoming class gathering this year is set as follows, so please hold the date on your calendar:

 

DATE:    Saturday, October 25, 2014

TIME:     2:00 p.m.

LOCATION:     Home of Benny/Sandy (Delcambre) Migues

111 Sam Drive

Delcambre, LA

 

DRESS:   Casual for poolside (or Panther attire optional)

BYOB:     Soft drinks and/or liquor

 

SPOUSE/GUESTS are invited.

Finger foods will be served. If you would like to contribute anything, please let me know what dish you’ll be bringing so that we don’t duplicate any items. If you’re from out of town or don’t have time, don’t feel like you have to bring anything. We’ll have plenty of food.  This is what some of our classmates have already offered to bring so far:

Boudin

Stuffed bread

Sandwiches

Roast

Vegetable tray

Fruit tray

Salsa & chips

Dessert

Cake

40th Class Reunion!

 

Dear Classmates:

Most of you should receive a letter from Delcambre High School shortly regarding its itinerary for the homecoming activities this year (which are scheduled on Thursday and Friday, October 3 and 4).  In addition to the school’s activities, our class has confirmed the following plans for our 40th year reunion:

FLOAT DECORATION:   (BYOB)

DATES/TIMES:        Sunday, September 29, beginning @ 1:00 p.m.

                                              Wednesday, October 2, beginning @ 4:00 p.m.

                                              Thursday, October 3, beginning @ 11:00 a.m. – until completion

LOCATION:           At the home of Andrea Broussard (Falgout)

605 N. Railroad Street

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3:                       

HOMECOMING PARADE: (Refer to letter from school to confirm details.)

  MEET:         Between 4:15 – 4:45 p.m.

                         LOCATIONAndrea’s house to load up on float.  (Classmates ONLY)

 FLOAT LEAVES ANDREA’S TO LINE UP AT SCHOOL:    4:45 p.m.

 Bring your own candy, koozies, etc. that you want to throw from the float.  Also, bring your own drinks (alcoholic beverages are allowed as we are not going on the school ground itself).  We will sit on our ice chests on the float.   It is suggested that you wear your T-shirt if you ordered one.   (See order forms attached to place your order for t-shirts and/or polo shirts, and koozies.)

PARADE BEGINS:   5:30 p.m. in front of the high school on Main Street.

(Refer to letter from school to confirm this.)

 

SUPPER AFTER RIDING FLOAT:

TIME:             Approx. between 9:00 and 10:00 p.m.

LOCATION: Denette’s camp located along Bayou Carlin not far behind her house

(5319 Bob Acres Road, Delcambre).  For directions call Denette @

337/685-2225 or 337/523-6187 (cell).

MENU:         Chicken and sausage GUMBO, potato salad, bread, desserts, etc.

Spouses/guests are invited.

If you wish to contribute to our menu or anything else relating to our supper,

please contact Charlene @ 337/937-8119 or 337/230-8118 (cell).

Everyone should bring their own drinks.  We will also play our usual “Half-and-Half” money game to raise money for our class so bring EXTRA CASH with you!

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4:

OPEN HOUSE: Visit schools on your own.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:            9:00 – 10:30 A.M.

                        HIGH SCHOOL:                             9:00 – 11:00 A.M.

                       LUNCH w/classmates:

                        TIME:                       11:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

                         LOCATION: Meet at Café’ Jefferson, @ Rip Van Winkle Gardens, 5505 Rip Van Winkle Road (New Iberia), In JEFFERSON  ISLAND

PEP RALLY:

TIME:                       2:00 p.m.  (Refer to letter from school to confirm details.)

(Meet classmates at the entrance gate @ 1:45 p.m.)

LOCATION:            High School Stadium                                                

 

TEA:  (Refer to letter from school to confirm details.)

TIME:                       5:00 p.m                    

                        LOCATION: New high school gym

Spouse or guest is invited to attend with you.  It is suggested that you wear your “Polo-style” shirt if you ordered one.  Tickets to attend the football game may be purchased for $6 each in the high school front office beforehand or in the new gym during the tea.  Classes walk to the stadium at 5:45 p.m

 

FOOTBALL GAME:         7:00 p.m.

 ALUMNI DANCE:             Sponsored by Class of 2003 (Tentative info. below)

                                                  TIME:                       9:00 p.m. (BYOB)

                                                  TICKET INFO.:      $5/person; $10 at the door
